Silent spring

SS20 collection

This collection of 3D-printed shoe prototypes, titled “Silent Spring,” represents a fusion of innovation and sustainability, born out of the unique circumstances of the COVID-19 confinement period. Created during a time when the world slowed down, and nature began to reclaim urban spaces, this project draws inspiration from the quiet, empty streets and the untamed growth of vegetation. The name “Silent Spring” captures this juxtaposition of stillness and natural resurgence.

The collection leverages the cutting-edge capabilities of 3D printing, a technique chosen for its innovative and eco-friendly potential. By using 3D printing, material waste were minimized, as the technique allows for precise material usage, creating only what is necessary. This approach not only reduces the environmental footprint of the production process but also opens up new possibilities for customizable and on-demand manufacturing.

Each shoe prototype in the “Silent Spring” collection reflects a thoughtful balance between technology and nature, embodying a design philosophy that seeks to harmonize modern innovation with sustainability. This work envisions a future where fashion is both forward-thinking and environmentally responsible.
